My Philosophy

We live our lives in moments: seconds, minutes, days, and years pass by in an instant. and before we know it, who we were then is just a distant memory of what made us who we are today. Photography takes those seconds in time and freezes them for eternity. A moment in time where the raw emotion of the individual is displayed, and the memories of our past are no longer just a figment in our mind. A photo visually represents who we were and who we have become.

"A photo can feel more real than its subject. It lets you build a version of the world that you can take with you. A world flattened and simple. A world that doesn’t change – that fits in the frame. A little Brighter and more colorful, with everything under control." - John Koenig, The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows.
